Qualifications

• At least 12 months experience as a Night Porter or Night Manager.
• Confident and well-presented.
• Ready to take responsibility for security and tasks during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the hotel, manage security throughout the night.
• Set up breakfast in the restaurant.
• Perform duties as a fire marshal after training.
• Check in/out late arrivals and early departures.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest areas.
• Ensure exceptional hospitality for guests.
• Follow compliance policies and procedures.
• Assist with stock counting and cellar management.
• Create and publish social media content.
• Co-ordinate handovers with daytime managers.

Built in 2016 by the Duchy of Cornwall but operated as part of the Hall & Woodhouse family of great pubs, the Duchess of Cornwall was so named at the direct request of the Prince of Wales and was opened by the then Prince and Duchess. The pub contains many artefacts from the Woodhouse family including The Badger glass - the largest hand-blown glass in the world. The building is split into sections over three floors, Bar and the Pantry, the grand central staircase, first floor dining room with its open kitchen and then to top it all off, is a beautiful outside terrace.

We are looking for a bright and engaging personality to join the guest services team as Night Supervisor at our fabulous venue.

Multi-skilled with at least 12 months experience as a Night Porter or Night Manager in a similar role, well presented, confident, organized, patient, diplomatic and ready to take responsibility for:

• Opening and closing the hotel and security through the night
• Breakfast set up in the restaurant
• Duties as a fire marshal (after training)
• Checking in/out late arrivals and early departures.
• Keeping guest areas clean and tidy
• Guaranteeing our guests receive day making hospitality, growing sales
• Following all compliance policies and procedures
• Stock counting and investigation, cellar management
• Social Media content creation and schedule publishing
• Handover co-ordination with day-time Managers
• Managing the night service tasks and night team

You must be:

• Able to work night shifts including weekends
• Able to reliably manage the commute
