Job summary

Spencer House Care Home in the United Kingdom is seeking a night-shift Registered Nurse to act as person in charge overnight. You will oversee the care team, administer medications, manage dressings, catheters, tube feeding and chronic conditions, while keeping families and GPs informed.

Essential: NMC registration, DBS check, and at least 2 years' care experience. You will live the Avery values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable.

Qualifications

• First Level nursing qualification.
• Post-basic studies or qualification supporting care experience.
• Current NMC registration.
• DBS disclosure check.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in care.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and acting on their behalf
• Ensure high standards of care to residents
• Distribute medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions
• Advise families of residents and GPs of changes in condition and involve them in care choices
• Deploy and supervise care team to complete tasks during the duty period and ensure residents receive required care
• Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and care planning
