Job summary

Moorlands Lodge Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare Group, seeks a night-shift Registered Nurse to cover for the Manager when needed and supervise care staff while delivering clinical tasks such as medication, dressings and tube feeding.

The role requires current NMC registration, a First Level qualification, and at least two years’ experience, with a DBS check. You will keep families and GPs updated on changes in condition and plan care accordingly.

Qualifications

• First Level qualification is required.
• Post-basic studies or qualification relevant to nursing.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge and cover for the Manager when required.
• Undertake nursing tasks including medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and chronic condition management.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in condition and involve them in care decisions.
• Deploy and supervise care staff to ensure residents receive required care.
• Carry out accurate assessment and care planning.
• Maintain high standards of care for residents.
