Job summary

Advinia Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our night shift team in one of our UK care homes. You will work closely with home managers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and maintain safety and compliance with NMC guidelines.

You will provide wound care, support staff, and ensure accurate care planning and handovers. A valid NMC pin and at least 1 year of nursing practice are required; we offer paid breaks, DBS/PVG check, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC licence with at least 1 year of nursing practice.
• Willingness to work night shifts (20:00–08:00).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff contribute to efficient running and resident wellbeing.
• General observations and support; wound care as required.
• Lead and support team; complete regular supervision and identify training needs.
• Report ill health and coordinate GP/professional visits when needed.
• Maintain and update resident Care Plans with residents, relatives and health professionals.
• Carry out regular checks on residents and ensure accurate handover at shift end.
• Adhere to NMC guidelines and company policy; maintain records.
