Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician for UK-wide installations on a six-month contract. The role involves overnight shifts, visiting customer sites, and installing our shelf-mounted camera and OS system.

You will deploy, document, and ensure adoption of the system while meeting safety and quality KPIs. Candidates should have field service or installation experience, strong technical skills, and a valid UK driving licence with reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience and/or installation background.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
• Physically fit to work long shifts, including overnight visits.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Effective time management to meet KPIs and schedules.
• Clear communication with supervisors, team and customers.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation to sites.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware: mounting, connecting and configuring to standards.
• Respond to installation requests promptly and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain installation records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Operate tools safely to complete installations.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize risks on-site.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely installations.
• Ensure tasks meet quality standards and KPIs.
• Provide progress updates to supervisors during visits.
