Job summary

Focal Systems in the UK is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to install our camera hardware at customer sites, predominantly overnight, across the country. This fixed-term contract lasts 6 months and requires a minimum of 20 hours per week plus a valid UK driving licence.

You will be responsible for hardware installation, configuration, safety compliance, and record-keeping while meeting SLAs and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Proven field service technician experience in related fields.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting hardware/software.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Excellent physical stamina for up to 9 hours.
• Attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Clear communication with supervisors, team and customers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware, mounting, connecting and configuring per standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities using company tools.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols during installation visits.
• Collaborate with team to complete installations on time.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed installation KPIs.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors and team.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
