Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform installations for customers across the UK, including overnight visits. You will install camera hardware, configure systems, and ensure installations meet safety and quality standards.

The role is a fixed-term contract (6 months) for 20 hours per week, requiring a valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel to sites and work night shifts. You will collaborate with the team to maintain documentation and drive customer

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, installation, or related roles.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware/software.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 9 hours).
• Attention to detail to meet specs and quality.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Clear communication with supervisors, team, and customers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Willling to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware to company standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities and parts used.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols during visits.
• Collaborate with team to finish installations on time.
• Ensure installation tasks meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.
• Follow company policies at all times.
