Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician for UK-wide installations, including night shifts. The role covers installing camera hardware at customer sites, with overnight travel and 6-month contracts at a minimum of 20 hours per week.

You will ensure installations meet safety, quality, and KPI targets while maintaining accurate service records. Applicants must have a full UK driving licence, be comfortable working nights, and travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in installation or related roles.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Physical stamina to work on feet for extended periods, including nights.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware according to standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities and parts used.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team to finish installations on time.
• Ensure installations meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality.
• Communicate progress to supervisors and team.
• Adhere to company policies at all times.
