Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding its UK operations and seeks a Field Service Team Lead to oversee installations for customers nationwide. The role involves leading a small team of Field Service Technicians on site, coordinating tasks, and ensuring installations meet plan, quality, and safety standards, often during night shifts.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, minimum 30 hours per week, requiring a full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician Experience
• Leadership experience supervising others
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware/software issues
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment
• Physically capable for demanding tasks and long shifts
• Attention to detail and quality standards
• Effective communication with clients and teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site.
• Install camera hardware and oversee the on-site team.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings.
• Act as primary customer contact on site and escalate issues.
• Review and sign off on installations to meet quality standards.
• Maintain records of activities, parts, and time.
• Onboard/scan products into the system.
• Lead night installations when required.
• Operate power tools safely and ensure team compliance with safety protocols.
