Job summary

Focal Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee installations for customer sites, primarily overnight. You will manage a team of Field Service Technicians, ensure installations meet plan and quality, and coordinate tasks across locations.

This six-month fixed-term contract requires a valid UK driving licence and reliable transport. You will perform pre-install checks, configure camera hardware, train new team members, and ensure safety and compliance while

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience with some leadership or supervisory responsibility
• Strong technical aptitude for diagnosing hardware and software issues
• Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site, allocating tasks and ensuring installations run to plan and schedule
• Install camera hardware: mount, connect and configure in accordance with company standards, and supervise the team doing the same
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings to identify and address potential issues before installation begins
• Act as the primary point of contact for the customer on site, escalating and resolving issues promptly to meet SLAs
• Review and sign off on completed installations to ensure they meet quality standards before handover
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities across the team using company tools
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system
• Attend and lead installations at various clients during night hours as required
• Operate power tools safely and ensure the team does the same
• Enforce safety protocols to minimize risks during installation visits
• Train, mentor, and support new and existing team members to develop installation skills
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards
• Meet or exceed team speed and quality KPIs
• Communicate progress and issues with supervisors, clients, and team members
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
