Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding its UK operations and seeks a dedicated Field Service Team Lead to oversee installations for customers across the region. This role will involve overnight work, leading a small team of Field Service Technicians, ensuring installations are completed safely and on schedule.

You will configure hardware, perform site briefings, act as the on-site customer contact, and uphold company quality standards while meeting SLAs.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician experience, including supervision.
• Strong leadership to coordiante a small on-site team.
• Good technical aptitude to diagnose hardware/software issues.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physically capable for extended shifts and site travel.
• Detail-oriented with good time management and safety focus.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport to sites.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site.
• Install and configure camera hardware per standards; oversee the team.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings.
• Be the primary on-site customer contact; escalate issues to meet SLAs.
• Sign off on installations meeting quality standards before handover.
• Maintain records of activities, parts, and time spent.
• Onboard and mentor team members to develop skills.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during visits.
