Job summary

Agrial Fresh Produce in Wigan is seeking a Despatch Supervisor to lead the Despatch team on night shifts (Sun–Thu, 13:00–21:00). You will manage daily despatch operations to meet customer orders on time, ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and drive delivery performance and efficiency.

Key duties include overseeing the Despatch team, KPI monitoring, FIFO stock rotation, ERP data entry, accuracy of paperwork, and collaboration with Production and Transport.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in food manufacturing, FMCG or logistics.
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Organise and supervise the Despatch team to meet deployment, cost and delivery targets.
• Monitor KPI performance and address bottlenecks with the team, using root-cause analysis.
• Ensure FIFO stock rotation and complete traceability and compliance records.
• Oversee accurate ERP data entry and paperwork in line with procedures.
• Collaborate with Production and Transport teams and cover for BUUK Logistics Ops Manager when needed.
• Ensure quality checks, correct labelling and finished product documentation is in place.
• Manage sickness absence and performance issues with HR guidance and coaching.
