Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll begin and finish from home, serving a local Bournemouth cluster area including Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and surrounding towns.

You’ll receive equipment and support from RAC, including a van, fuel card, uniform, tools and a diagnostic kit. The role offers strong base pay with realistic OTE and long-term career development within a trusted brand.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, travelling locally to cover your area.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
