Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs across the UK. You’ll start and finish from home, work in a 40-hour week with demand-led shifts, and use your own RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit to help get members back on the road quickly.

With at least 2 years’ experience and NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent), you’ll join a trusted team serving local areas from the Bournemouth cluster.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
• Start and end shifts from home and manage calls in your local area.
