Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Bournemouth cluster, covering areas like Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham, Swanage. You’ll start and finish each day from home and respond to roadside calls across the region.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years as a Technician, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. RAC provides a van, fuel card, uniform and tools to begin.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on the roadside.
• Start and end your day at home, with a RAC van and diagnostic kit provided.
