Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee installations across the UK. The role involves night shifts, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring successful deployment of our retail AI system at customer sites.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with a minimum of 30 hours per week and a pay rate of £20 per hour. A valid UK driving licence and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as field technician or similar role.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• Strong troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure.
• Excellent communication with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site.
• Install and configure camera hardware per company standards.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings.
• Serve as primary on-site customer contact and issue resolver.
• Review and sign off on installations to meet quality standards.
• Maintain records of activities, parts, and time spent.
• Onboard and scan products into the system.
• Occasionally lead night installations across clients.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on all visits.
• Mentor and train new and existing team members.
