Job summary

The Venues Collection is seeking a friendly Night Receptionist for Eastwood Hall in Nottinghamshire. This full-time role focuses on warm guest welcome, seamless night audits and secure overnight operations. Training on Opera Cloud and PDQ systems is provided to support high standards of service.

You will work 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends and public holidays, delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a tidy, safe reception area throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication throughout guest interactions.
• Strong customer service focus with a friendly, professional manner.
• Good time management and organisational skills for busy night shifts.
• Solid IT skills and confidence with PCs and office equipment.
• Ability to work independently at night and in a team when needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming first impression for guests and colleagues.
• Handle check-ins/outs, room allocations and late requests.
• Operate reception systems (Opera Cloud, PDQ) with training.
• Manage guest accounts, billing, and payments following procedures.
• Complete nightly audits and end-of-day procedures accurately.
• Perform security and safety checks to keep guests safe.
• Answer calls and guest enquiries professionally with accurate information.
• Maintain a clean, professional reception area and sign off tasks.
