Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a Nights Duty Manager to join our team at the Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield-Front Office/Reception. You will oversee night-time operations, balance daily revenue, and ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

In this role you will lead the night team, liaise with front office and accounting, handle emergencies, and support breakfast service to prepare for the next day. The position offers flexible hours and opportunities within a growing hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or finance roles with accounting knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills for guest inquiries.
• IT skills and familiarity with PMS.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges.
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies.
• Check in late arrivals, assist guests with inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support.
• Conduct regular security checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure guest and property safety.
• Collaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address issues identified during the night audit.
• Maintain clear communication with the day team by preparing handover notes and ensuring information is recorded.
• Handle emergencies overnight, coordinating with necessary departments.
• Lead nights bar and room service operations.
• Manage night team members.
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day for smooth operation.
• Support Night Porter to keep public areas clean and up to standard.
• Be present during breakfast service and support the F&B team.
