Job summary

RBH's Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield is seeking an experienced Nights Duty Manager to join our brand-new hotel near Meadowhall. You will oversee nightly operations, balance cash, ensure guest safety, and support front desk and F&B teams.

The role requires strong attention to detail, IT skills with PMS, and excellent communication to handle guest inquiries and emergencies during night hours. Join RBH for a dynamic hospitality career with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or finance roles, with an understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle guest enquiries professionally.
• IT skills and familiarity with property management systems (PMS).
• Flexibility to work night shifts and the ability to remain focused and productive.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges.
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies.
• Check in late arrivals, assist guests with inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support.
• Conduct regular security checks to ensure guest and property safety.
• Collaborate with front office and accounting teams to address issues identified during the night audit.
• Maintain handover notes and ensure information is recorded for the day team.
• Handle emergencies overnight, coordinating with necessary departments.
• Lead nights bar and room service operations.
• Manage night team members.
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day for smooth operation.
• Support Breakfast operations with F&B team.

AN EVENING IN THE LIFE OF NIGHTS DUTY MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies
• Check in late arrivals, assist guests with any inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support, ensuring a seamless guest experience
• Conduct regular security checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure guest and property safety
• Collaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address any issues identified during the night audit
• Maintain clear communication with the day team by preparing handover notes and ensuring all relevant information is recorded
• Handle any emergency situations overnight, acting as the point of contact and coordinating with necessary departments
• Lead nights bar and room service operations
• Manage night team members
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day for a smooth operation
• Support Night Porter to ensure the hotel public areas are clean and up to standard for the next day.
• Be present during breakfast service and support the F&B team with breakfast operations.
