Job summary

Social Interest Group (SIG) is seeking a Night Services Worker to support residents in a calm, compassionate and safety-focused environment in London. The role covers night shifts on a rolling rota, requiring strong communication and independent work during quieter hours.

You will monitor welfare, respond to incidents, complete handovers, and help residents build confidence while maintaining a clean, welcoming space. Training and wellbeing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and taking responsibility for the night service
• Excellent communication with residents, colleagues and external partners

• Stay calm and supportive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible to meet the demands and needs of the service, including on-call emergencies
• Proficient with IT systems including case management and Microsoft

Responsibilities

• Monitor welfare checks and respond to emergencies
• Maintain professionalism with visitors, attend to calls, manage deliveries
• Provide clear morning handovers with updates on residents, incidents, safeguarding
• Remain alert and monitor CCTV during shifts
• Collaborate with the wider team to address urgent issues
• Support risk assessments and safeguarding checks
• Help residents build confidence and independence
• Keep environment clean and report repairs and complete admin tasks accurately
