Job summary

Salvation Army Homes at Newhaven Foyer is seeking a Night Concierge to oversee the waking night shift, keeping residents safe and supporting a secure environment. You will build trusting relationships with residents, communicate clearly, and participate in required training while contributing to service KPIs and organisational goals.

Qualifications

• Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations.
• Ability to build trusting, professional relationships and have resilience.
• Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
• Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and / or supporting vulnerable people or groups.
• Understand, or be willing to learn about, community resources and organisations that can support our residents.

Responsibilities

• Taking a relational approach in your role, building trust with residents and offering guidance to help ensure their safety, as well as the safety of the building.
• Acquiring and providing up to date and accurate information relating to clients and the service.
• Undertaking any necessary training/personal development identified by your Line Manager.
• Contributing to the Key Performance Indicators set for Self, Scheme, and the wider association.
