Job summary

The Bank Night Concierge at Mallow Court, a Bromford Flagship LiveWest supported housing scheme, ensures safety and wellbeing overnight. You’ll be the calm, visible point of contact for customers, staff and emergency services, responding professionally to welfare concerns and incidents.

You’ll work overnight, de-escalate conflicts, document incidents and liaise with housing teams to provide appropriate support while building trust and safeguarding vulnerable customers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable people in housing, health or social care settings is desirable.
• Excellent communication and people skills are essential.
• Ability to stay calm and proactive in challenging situations.
• Willingness to work night shifts and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible and reassuring presence throughout the night
• Supporting vulnerable customers in a professional and compassionate manner
• Responding to incidents, welfare concerns and emergencies
• Liaising with crisis teams, emergency services and partner agencies
• Building positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
• Monitoring and managing communal areas, including the customer lounge
• Undertaking hourly walk-arounds of the building and grounds
• Maintaining accurate records, handovers and incident reports
• Working closely with the Housing Enabler to ensure customers receive appropriate support
• Has excellent communication and people skills
• Can build positive, professional relationships with customers and partner agencies
• Remains calm, resilient and confident in challenging situations
• Is able to de-escalate conflict and manage difficult conversations appropriately
• Takes a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer wellbeing
• Can work independently whilst exercising sound judgement
• Has experience supporting vulnerable people, ideally within housing, health, social care or a similar environment (desirable)

Job description

As a Bank Night Concierge, you'll be responsible for maintaining the safety, security and wellbeing of customers and the scheme throughout the night. You'll be an important point of contact for customers, partner agencies and emergency services, ensuring concerns are managed appropriately and support is available when needed.
