Job summary

HHS Group in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Night Security Concierge to join our homelessness hostel team, providing a protective presence and practical support for residents during the night hours.

You will conduct security checks, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, assist residents with immediate needs, perform light cleaning, and prepare nightly reports for the day shift, all while maintaining a calm, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable adults, preferably in a homeless or supported housing setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills.
• DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We have ongoing job opportunies for a Night Security Concierge to join our team with our clients homeless hostel in Tunbridge Wells Kent. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Resident Support:
• Provide a welcoming and supportive presence to residents throughout the night.
• Respond to resident needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Monitor and challenge anti-social behaviour to maintain a safe and peaceful environment for all residents.
• Assist residents with any immediate needs, such as accessing essential supplies.
• Security and Safety:
• Conduct regular security checks of the premises.
• Monitor CCTV footage and respond to any incidents.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents and staff.
• Implement emergency procedures as required.
• Light Cleaning Duties:
• Maintain general cleanliness of communal areas and the office.
• Assist with light cleaning tasks as required.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of nightly events and incidents.
• Prepare daily reports for the day shift.

Essential Skills & Experience

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Valid SIA Badge.

Shift Pattern

• 22:00 - 08:00
• Shift work may include weekends and bank holidays.
