Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking a Night Care Assistant for the Rochester care home. You will work 8pm–8am, 24 or 36 hours per week, including alternative weekends, providing compassionate support to residents in a 24/7 care setting.

Key duties include companionship, personal care, medication prompting, meals, light domestic tasks, mobility support and facilitating social activities within the home.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience working within a care home is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, engage clients and support communication.
• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing and oral care.

What is required from you

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• Opportunities Available:Night Care Assistant to work 24 hours per week from 8pm to 8am to include working alternative weekends.
• Night Care Assistant to work 36 hours per week from 8pm to 8am to include working alternative weekends.
• Previous experience working within a care home is required for these roles

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
