Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking a Night Senior Care Assistant for Sedgemoor care home in Weston-super-Mare. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily living tasks, and support residents during night hours.

Competitive hourly rate and opportunities for progression are highlighted. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it), a minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK, and flexibility to cover 24 hours weekly including alternate weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including bathing, dressing and oral care.
• Contribute to care reviews to reflect residents' needs.
• Administer residents' medications safely and compliantly.
• Lead social activities and community trips within the home.
• Support new staff through shadowing and development.

What is required from you?

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK

NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards

Must be flexible to work 24 hours per week, including alternate weekendsPlease note this is a night shift position

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant

• Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence


• Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.


• Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way


• Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.


• Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
