Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join its Weston-super-Mare team. You will provide companionship and essential daily support to residents in a caring, respectful environment.

This role involves personal care, medication prompting, meal preparation, mobility assistance and participation in social activities within the home. Training up to QCF level 5 is funded, with opportunities for career development and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• Must be available to work 30 hours per week including alternate weekends
• Experience in a care role is essential

Responsibilities

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care - supporting with a wash, bath or shower and assisting with dressing and oral care
• Medication - Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages
• Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility
• Social activities - Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home
