Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Care Assistant to join our family-run team. You’ll provide compassionate support to residents in our care home, helping with daily activities and ensuring comfort.

The role requires at least 12 months right to work in the UK and 24 hours per week including alternate weekends. Experience in care is essential.

We offer £12.76 per hour, a refer-a-friend bonus up to £1,000, fully funded training to QCF level 5, a company pension, and on demand pay.

Responsibilities

• Companionship and engagement for residents.
• Personal care including bathing, dressing, and oral care.
• Medication prompting, assisting, or administering.
• Meals support with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks such as light cleaning.
• Mobility support to promote independence.
• Organising and participating in social activities within the home.

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support , companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care- supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
