Megan’s Restaurants is seeking a motivated Junior Sous Chef in Guildford to support the kitchen leadership and run a section confidently. You will assist the senior team to maintain high standards and develop the crew, ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen reflects Megan’s quality and presentation.

You will thrive in a busy service, lead by example, and help grow the team while handling stock and kitchen organisation during peak times.

Qualifications

• We’re looking for a Junior Sous Chef with strong kitchen experience.
• You’ll confidently run a section and take on more responsibility.
• You’ll support senior chefs to keep standards high and develop the team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef to run services and lead when needed.
• Ensure each dish meets Megan’s recipes, specs and presentation standards.
• Keep the kitchen organised and service moving during peak times.
• Coach junior chefs on shift and help the team build skills.
• Assist with stock, ordering, portion control and waste.
• Uphold cleanliness, organisation and prep across the kitchen.
• Lead by example on food safety, allergens and health and safety.
