Job summary

Megan’s Restaurants in the United Kingdom is seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef ready to step up. You’ll support the Sous Chef and Head Chef, lead a section during service, ensure dishes meet recipes, specs and presentation standards, and help keep the kitchen organized under pressure.

This role offers progression opportunities across the group, training and regular menu tastings, plus benefits such as staff discounts and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy kitchen environments.
• Ability to maintain high standards across service.
• Capable of training Junior Chefs and CDPs on shift.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef to run services, stepping up when needed.
• Ensure every dish leaves the kitchen to Megan’s recipes, specs and presentation standards.
• Keep the kitchen organised and service moving when checks are high.
• Coach Commis Chefs and CDPs, giving feedback to build skills.
• Assist with stock, ordering, portions and waste, understanding impact on the business.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness, organisation and prep across the kitchen.
