Megan’s Restaurants in London is seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef to step up and lead a section, supporting senior chefs and maintaining the high standards of Megan’s recipes and presentation.

In this busy kitchen you will help run services, mentor Commis Chefs, manage stock and waste, and ensure the team stays on track under pressure. The role offers pay up to £15 per hour plus uncapped tron; great perks and progression opportunities.

• Strong kitchen experience.

You’ll thrive in a busy service, lead by example and be someone the team can turn to when the pressure is on. You’ll support our senior chefs to keep standards high, develop the team and make sure brilliant food leaves the kitchen every time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef to run brilliant services, stepping up and taking the lead when needed
• Making sure every dish leaving the kitchen meets Megan’s recipes, specs and presentation standards, and challenging anything that doesn’t
• Keeping the kitchen organised and service moving when the checks are flying, communicating clearly and helping the team stay one step ahead
• Coaching Commis Chefs and CDPs on shift, sharing your knowledge, giving feedback and helping the team build their skills
• Supporting with stock, ordering, portion control and waste, understanding how the decisions we make in the kitchen impact the wider business
• Owning brilliant standards of cleanliness, organisation and preparation across the kitchen, not just on your own section
• Leading by example on food safety, allergens, hygiene and health & safety, making sure standards are followed and issues are dealt with quickly
