Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the processes and equipment for new model introductions, from concept to series production. You will develop assembly concepts, run virtual simulations, and lead line balancing and process documentation across cross-functional teams.

You'll work with design and engineering to deliver HPC data, PFMEA guidance, and tooling solutions, while embedding best practices to improve first-time-through and overall plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with specification and procurement of major assembly equipment.
• Planning and execution of new vehicle programs.
• Experience with complex vehicle systems and vehicle assembly processes.
• Familiarity with trim and final processes and end-of-line processing/finishing.
• Ability to identify resolutions for product-related issues and ensure quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop vehicle assembly concepts for new models.
• Virtual environment start-up and transition to physical validation and delivery.
• Define process sequencing, documentation and product traceability methodologies.
• Develop concepts in line with existing and future brand strategies.
• Support and drive PFMEA and safe working practices.
