Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead development and execution of Manufacturing Engineering practices, driving improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery across the production system. You will guide the team in translating vehicle characteristics into manufacturing parameters, develop new processes, run simulations, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Expertise in mechanical/automotive engineering required.
• Experience leading Manufacturing Engineering teams.
• Familiar with PFMEA/DFMEA concepts and value stream mapping.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, cost management and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of Manufacturing Engineering practices across PM, Safety, Quality, Cost, People Development and Product Delivery.
• Identify and translate vehicle characteristics into manufacturing process parameters.
• Generate new processes and procedures to manufacture to design intent safely and reliably.
• Assist manager in scoping and delivering best practices and managing departmental budgets.
• Lead virtual manufacturing and process simulations to validate concepts.
• Develop timing plans to support full program delivery and ensure HPC targets.
