Job summary

McLaren Automotive is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering team to support our growing business plan. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will lead development and execution of practices driving improvement in Project Management, Safety, Quality, Cost Management, People Development, and Product Delivery.

You will work with expert teams across the business and direct the Future Model team with budgets, ensuring alignment with brand expectations and program milestones, including off-site

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading new vehicle programs and complex vehicle systems.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle assembly processes, trim and final processes, and end-of-line finishing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of Manufacturing Engineering practices to drive project milestones, safety, quality and cost targets.
• Develop and manage timing plans, HPC data and line balancing for new model introductions.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Operations to resolve bottlenecks and optimise layout and material flow.
• Drive safe working practices and ensure alignment with brand expectations across UK/Europe facilities.
