Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in design for manufacture and production routings.
• Experience offline programming and multi-axis machining.
• Knowledge of tool management and MRP systems.
• Experience solving quality issues using structured problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why, fishbone).
• NVQ4/5 or HNC/HND or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embed design for manufacture in reviews, support material selection and early procurement decisions.
• Produce manufacturing solutions including stage models, drawings, routings and tooling selections.
• Design tooling, fixturing and gauging to improve reliability and enable lights-out machining.
• Create CNC programmes and setup sheets with quality emphasis and process optimisation.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers and Machinists to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
