Network Operations Specialist (Previous Relevant Experience is Required), Derby

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions that impact critical national infrastructure. Be part of a high-performing team working on complex, vital tasks to keep the nation's infrastructure connected and secure 24/7.

Role Overview:

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician provides administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution aligns with procedures and contractual KPIs. The role operates on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
2. Create incident tickets from customer reports.
3. Action Service Requests.
4. Assign tickets to support and engineering teams, and other providers.
5. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
6. Coordinate traffic management with providers, control teams, and field resources.
7. Communicate with customers regarding network incidents.
8. Coordinate with utility companies during power-related network issues.

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting enterprise and service provider networks, preferably within a NOC environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in 1st line diagnostics and incident resolution.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
