This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the past few years. Due to this expansion, they are seeking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is large, with future growth plans, making this an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director who fosters a positive and proactive working environment, collaborating across the trust with all schools and teams.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects within your cluster. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to provide efficient IT services to staff and pupils, responding promptly to requests and issues. Operational responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also manage the IT budget for your schools, ensuring adherence and collaborating with third-party vendors for procurement.
To succeed, you should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of systems and processes relevant to this field. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team oversight, training, and upskilling junior staff is also required.
