A multi-academy trust is seeking a Cluster Network Manager to oversee IT operations across a secondary and three primary schools. Your new company
This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over recent years and is looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is a large multi-academy organization with plans for further expansion, making this an exciting time to join. You will be based at a North Manchester secondary school and will also be responsible for three local primary schools, becoming an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director who adopts a positive and proactive approach, working collaboratively across all schools and teams.
Your new role
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools, and manage the onsite IT team. As Network Manager, your responsibilities will include hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and planning and delivering IT projects within your cluster. You will work with two IT technicians to ensure efficient IT services for staff and pupils, responding promptly to IT requests and resolving issues. Operationally, you will conduct monthly reviews, manage performance, and develop team members. You will also oversee the IT budget, ensuring compliance and working with third-party vendors for procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of sector-specific systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team oversight, staff training, and upskilling is also required.
