This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is large, with plans for further growth, making this an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, collaborating across all schools and teams within the trust.

Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, consisting of two technicians, ensuring efficient IT service delivery, quick resolution of IT requests and issues, and overseeing hardware, software, and bespoke technologies. Your responsibilities will also include planning and delivering IT projects, conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing staff. Additionally, you will handle the IT budget for your schools and coordinate with third-party suppliers for procurement.
