This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are seeking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. As a large multi-academy trust with future growth plans, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving organization where you will experience continuous growth and development.
You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three nearby primary schools. You will be an integral part of the well-established IT team, led by an IT Director who fosters a positive and proactive working environment, collaborating across the trust with all schools and teams.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the onsite IT team, which includes two technicians, ensuring the delivery of efficient IT services to staff and pupils. Your responsibilities will include responding to IT requests and issues, managing operational tasks such as monthly reviews, performance management, and staff development.
You will also be responsible for managing the IT budget for your schools, working within budget constraints, and collaborating with third-party suppliers for procurement of IT equipment.
To succeed in this role, you should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of systems and processes relevant to this environment. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential, along with experience in team oversight, staff training, and upskilling.
