This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large multi-academy trust with plans for further growth, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will become a key member of the IT team. The team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, working collaboratively across the trust with all schools and teams.

Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, which includes two technicians, ensuring efficient IT service delivery, resolving requests and issues promptly. Your responsibilities will also include operational management tasks such as monthly reviews, performance management, and staff development. Additionally, you will manage the IT budget and collaborate with third-party vendors for procurement of IT equipment.

What you'll need to succeed

You should possess IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of relevant systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to high-quality service delivery are essential. Experience in team oversight, staff training, and development is also required.
