Your new company

This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. They are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This large trust has plans for future expansion, making it an exciting time to join, with opportunities for growth and development. You will be based at a North Manchester secondary school, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, becoming an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, working collaboratively across all schools and teams.

Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the IT team on site, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to provide efficient IT services, responding to requests and resolving issues promptly. Operationally, you will conduct monthly reviews, manage performance, and develop team members. You will also oversee the IT budget and collaborate with third parties on procurement.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with strong knowledge of systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to high service levels are essential, along with experience managing and training a team.
