Your new company
This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over recent years and is seeking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is large, with plans for further expansion, making this an exciting opportunity for career growth and development. The successful candidate will be based at a North Manchester secondary school, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director who fosters a positive and proactive working environment, collaborating across all schools and teams within the trust.
Your new role
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster, which includes one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the IT team onsite, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to deliver efficient IT services, responding to staff and pupil requests, and resolving issues promptly. Operationally, you will conduct monthly reviews, manage performance, and develop team members. You will also oversee the IT budget and collaborate with third-party vendors for procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a solid understanding of sector-specific systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to high-quality service delivery are essential. Experience leading a team, along with skills in training and developing junior staff, is also required.
