Your new company

This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the past few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large trust with future growth plans, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a North Manchester secondary school and will also have responsibilities for three local primary schools. You will become an integral part of the IT team, which is well-established and led by a proactive IT Director who collaborates closely across the trust.

Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to deliver efficient IT services, responding to requests and resolving issues promptly. Operational responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also manage the IT budget and coordinate with third-party vendors for procurement.

To succeed, you should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with strong knowledge of relevant systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team oversight, training, and upskilling staff is also required.
