About Elsa

Elsa is a fabulous, lively 7-year-old who loves theme parks, trips out and anything active. She is pre-verbal and communicates using AAC and Makaton. Bright, determined and full of personality, Elsa has Cerebral Palsy and uses a walker and wheelchair. Her home is fully adapted, and her wonderful family and SEN Nanny team work closely together to help her reach her full potential.

The Role at a Glance

This is a classic SEN Nanny position with a strong focus on fun, engagement and developmental support. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning activities and community outings
  • Supporting friendships and social opportunities
  • Promoting independence, learning and exploration
  • Implementing therapy programmes
  • Assisting with all areas of self-care and daily living
  • Manual handling using ceiling track hoists (1:1)

Elsa's team of three SEN Nannies work collaboratively with the family and healthcare professionals. We are now recruiting specifically for weekend hours, offered as 24-hour shifts, including: 8pm Friday - 8pm Saturday, 8am Saturday - 8am Sunday, 8am Sunday - 9:30am Monday.

Applicants must be available for regular weekend work.

Driver: Essential - WAV provided

Essential: Strong childcare & SEN experience, confident with manual handling, able to work long rota shifts. Female applicants only.
