A local independent living support provider seeks a Casual Personal Assistant to help manage household tasks and care for an individual with a chronic condition. This role includes meal preparation, medication assistance, and general household duties. The position is flexible, requiring up to 17 hours a week, with pay set at £15 per hour. Applicants must be female, reliable, and possess a caring nature. The role requires a National Insurance number and will undergo a DBS check before commencing employment.
I am a 50 year old woman living in the Penarth area with my daughter. I have an intermittent chronic condition that fluctuates, so I need support whilst poorly to help keep the family house running smoothly.
My care package is not guaranteed hours per week but instead it is up to 17 hours per week for periods when required. These are normally 4-12 week periods.
£15 per hour
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
