Job summary

A local council in Tameside is looking for a part-time customer-facing individual to join their front of house team at the Portland Basin Museum. Your role will involve providing a warm welcome to visitors, opening and closing the museum, and assisting with school workshops. You should have excellent customer care skills and enjoy working as part of a team, as well as having an interest in history. Regular weekend work is required.

Salary: Grade C. Scale 5 - £8,527 to Scale 6 - £8,663 (actual salary)

Hours Per Week: 12

Base Location: Portland Place, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL7 0QA

The Role

Based predominantly at Portland Basin Museum you will be part of the front of house team who provide a friendly welcome to visitors and ensure they have a great experience. The role involves opening and closing the museum, setting up for school workshops and serving in the shop. The role requires regular weekend working.
