Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician for our Bicester Sewage Treatment Works. You will inspect, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant with minimal supervision to keep sites operational for customers.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship and upskilling in mechanical NVQ2/3, with experience across pumps, motors, drives and control gear. On-site duties include a 38-hour week and standby overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Upskilling to mechanical NVQ2/3 is crucial.
• Experience with electrical/electronic controls and safe maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to minimise plant breakdowns.
• Investigate plant failures and perform quick repairs to prevent process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training support for technicians and trainees.
