Job summary

Serco is recruiting a Maintenance Operative to cover Blackburn and Lancashire. You will carry out reactive, proactive and pre-planned repairs to required standards and within SLA deadlines, using your trade skills in joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel within the region and occasionally across the UK. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with on-call duties and a rotating rota.

Qualifications

• Must have maintenance experience in joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting & decorating.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive, proactive and pre-planned repairs to required standards and within SLA deadlines.
• Prioritise health and safety of self and users during and after works.
• Purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers.
