Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a Maintenance Operative to cover the Wigan area, within the AASC Blackburn & Lancashire contract. The role involves carrying out reactive and pre-planned repairs to a high standard, meeting SLA deadlines, and managing materials via a company card.

A full UK driving licence is essential as is the ability to travel within the region and occasional UK travel. You will work a 37.5 hour week (Mon-Fri) with on-call duties on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance tasks including joinery, plumbing, painting or decorating.
• Ability to travel within the region and work with a team when required.
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices on-site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive or proactive repairs to required standard and within SLA deadlines.
• Purchase and manage materials using the company account card.
• Ensure health and safety of yourself and others during and after works.
