Job summary

Think Recruitment is looking for a Maintenance Operative (Multi-Skilled) in Sunderland. The role is a full-time, temporary contract for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working options and a dedicated works vehicle provided. Responsibilities include delivering capital works and adaptations across domestic and commercial properties, performing a range of trades with a focus on joinery, plumbing, tiling,

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: A relevant recognised trade qualification, such as NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Experience: Demonstrable experience carrying out multi-skilled trade activities. Previous experience within a local authority or social housing repairs and maintenance environment is highly advantageous.
• Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential as you will be required to operate the allocated works vehicle.
• Work Ethic: A professional approach with a commitment to high-quality workmanship, efficient working and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality capital works and disabled adaptations across domestic and commercial properties.
• Undertake a range of multi-skilled trade activities, with a core focus on joinery, basic plumbing, ceramic tiling, plastering and decoration.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to residents and building users.
• Work safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a busy, multi-disciplinary team.
